Project: Dudley Branch Channel Restoration

Client: HEB Parkway South LTD. and the City of Carrollton

An approximate 5,500 linear foot "Bio-Engineered" channel. The project was designed with a meandering earth-lined pilot channel to emulate conditions of a prairie-type stream and included a Saint Anthony Falls stilling basin at the upstream end to dissipate energy, gabion grade control structures and selections of native grasses. This is a pilot project for urban stream restoration with permits obtained from the Corps of Engineers and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
